Comparison review
The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max, having a 79 score against 77.5. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact design is newer and lighter, but also thicker than the Xiaomi Mi Max. The Xperia XZ2 Compact features a better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a really smaller display, it also counts with a better amount of pixels per inch in the screen and a bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160.
The Xperia XZ2 Compact has just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Mi Max. Both of them have the same number of cores and a 4 GB RAM. Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a greater memory to install applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact, because although it has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB against 400 GB, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a much longer battery life than Xperia XZ2 Compact, because it has a 69% larger battery size. Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact captures much clearer videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a F2 diafragm aperture, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Compact also has a back-facing camera with more mega-pixels and faster video frame rate.
