Comparison review
The Xperia XZ2 Premium has a general score of 82.2, which is a bit better than Xiaomi Mi Max's general score of 77.5. Even though Xperia XZ2 Premium is a lot newer than Xiaomi Mi Max, it's thicker and heavier. Xperia XZ2 Premium has a much sharper display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with way more pixels per screen inch and a much better 2160 x 3840 resolution.
Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with just a bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi Max features more storage capacity to install applications and games than Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, because although it has a slot for external memory cards that holds 144 GB smaller, it also counts with 128 GB internal memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max features a much better battery lifetime than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity against 3540mAh. The Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium takes a bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has a back-facing camera with more mega pixels and a larger aperture.
