Xiaomi Black Shark 3 is much better than Xiaomi Mi Max, having an 86.6 score against 77.5. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 design is newer than the Xiaomi Mi Max's, but it's notably thicker and a little heavier. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 counts with a little bit better processing power than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has more RAM.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 has a little bit better looking display than Xiaomi Mi Max, because it has a little bit bigger display, a slightly higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a little bit more pixels per screen inch. The Xiaomi Black Shark 3 takes greater pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have the same video quality, the Xiaomi Black Shark 3 also has faster video frame rate, a bigger diafragm aperture to capture better low-light captures and videos and a way more MP camera.
Xiaomi Mi Max has a much bigger memory to install games and applications than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has a slot for an external memory card that allows up to 256 GB. Xiaomi Mi Max has just a little bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Black Shark 3, because it has 4850mAh of battery capacity instead of 4720mAh.
