Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max, getting a general score of 81.4 against 77.5. Xiaomi Mi 9 SE's construction is noticeably newer, a little thinner and extremely lighter than Xiaomi Mi Max. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE counts with a more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a little higher resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and a little bit greater pixel count in each inch of screen.
The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE has a bit faster processing unit than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has a larger amount of RAM. Xiaomi Mi Max has much more storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, and although they both have equal internal storage, the Xiaomi Mi Max also has an external memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Max counts with a superior battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi 9 SE, because it has a 58% bigger battery size. The Xiaomi Mi 9 SE shoots much better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Max, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same (4K) video quality, the Xiaomi Mi 9 SE also has a lot more megapixels camera and a larger diafragm aperture to capture better photography and videos in low-light environments.
