Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is slightly better than Galaxy A5 (2017), with a global score of 81.2 against 75.8. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 design is a little bit thinner but heavier than the Galaxy A5 (2017), and both were released with only a few months difference. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a bit superior processor than Galaxy A5 (2017), and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has 3 GB more RAM.
Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) counts with a display that is just as good as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 one, because although the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) has a little worse resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a quite smaller display, it also counts with a just a little greater pixel number per display inch. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a way bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with more internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a little longer battery life than Galaxy A5 (2017), because it has 3400mAh of battery capacity instead of 3000mAh. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 captures slightly better photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017), because although it has a smaller aperture which is not favorable for taking photographs and/or video in low light situations and a camera with lot less MP, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
