Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a global score of 81.2, which is slightly better than Galaxy J8's 76.7 general score. Even though Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 and the Galaxy J8 were only released 9 months apart, Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's construction is a bit thinner but also a little heavier than the Galaxy J8. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has just a little better performance than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has 2 GB more RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy J8, and although they both have a screen with the same size, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has a much better resolution of 1080 x 2160 and a higher number of pixels per inch in the screen. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a very superior storage capacity to install applications and games than Galaxy J8, because although it has no SD memory slot, it also counts with 192 GB more internal memory capacity.
Galaxy J8 counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 3 percent larger battery capacity. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Galaxy J8, because although it has a much lower 12 MP resolution camera, a smaller back-facing camera sensor which offers a lower image and video quality and a tinier aperture which is not so good for shooting pictures or videos in poorly lited situations, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video resolution.
