Comparison review
Sony Xperia 1 has a score of 82.6, which is slightly better than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's overall score of 81.2. The Sony Xperia 1 construction is newer and a bit lighter, but also just a little thicker than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. The Xperia 1 features a much better looking display than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a lot better resolution of 1644 x 3840px, a quite bigger screen and a much higher screen density.
Xperia 1 has slightly more storage to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has only 128 GB internal storage, it also counts with a SD extension slot that admits a maximum of 512 GB. The Sony Xperia 1 counts with a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. Both of them have 8 CPU cores and a 6 GB RAM.
Xperia 1 takes just a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has lower 24 fps video frame rates, and they both have the same resolution back facing camera and the same 3840x2160 video resolution, the Xperia 1 also counts with a larger camera sensor providing a better image quality and a larger aperture.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a bit better battery life than Xperia 1, because it has a 2% larger battery size.
Although Xperia 1 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, giving up a couple features and specs, but you will get the most with your money.
