Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 has a global score of 81.2, which is slightly better than Xperia Z5 Premium's 79.8 overall score. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 design is much newer and a bit thinner, but just a little heavier than the Xperia Z5 Premium. The Xperia Z5 Premium has an incredibly better looking display than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a lot better resolution of 3840 x 2160 and a way better screen density.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with just a little better performance than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has doesn't have an extra graphics processing unit, and they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also counts with a greater amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features much more storage to store more games and applications than Xperia Z5 Premium, because although it has no external memory card slot, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a bit better battery life than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 1 percent more battery size. The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium counts with a much better camera than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and although they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rates, the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium also has a much larger back camera sensor capturing more light and vivid colors, a bigger camera aperture to take better low-light images and video and a much higher 23 megapixels resolution camera.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it is a little more expensive than Xperia Z5 Premium, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xperia Z5 Premium. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xperia Z5 Premium, resigning a couple features and specifications.
