Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, having a global score of 81.2 against 77.5. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 design has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, but it's lighter. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2160 pixels and a just a little better pixels count in each inch of display.
Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features slightly more memory capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a little better hardware performance than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and although they both have 8 processing cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2's camera is just as good as Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's camera, and although the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a smaller diafragm aperture, they both have the same video quality, a 0.34 inches sensor, the same video frame rate and a 12 mega pixels resolution camera. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a way better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 5300mAh battery capacity instead of 3400mAh.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Mi Max 2. If you want to save some money, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, and give up a couple features, but you'll get the most with your savings.
