Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, with an 81.2 score against 76.6. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2's design is just a little bit lighter and somewhat thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, despite of the fact that it was released many years before. Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a little smaller screen and a bit worse 1080 x 2160 resolution, it also counts with a just a little more pixels per screen inch.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 counts with a lot bigger storage for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has no slot for external memory cards, it also counts with 256 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 features a bit superior processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 also has 3 GB more RAM.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a superior battery performance than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, because it has a 5020mAh battery capacity instead of 3400mAh. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a superior camera than Xiaomi Mi MIX 2, and although they both have the same video frame rate and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger diafragm aperture for better low light captures, a much bigger back-facing camera sensor taking way higher quality pictures and videos and a lot higher resolution camera in the back.
Although Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, letting go a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your savings.
