Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a general score of 83.8, which is a little bit better than the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active's 81.9 general score. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s's design is somewhat thinner and just a bit lighter than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, even when both were only released with a couple months difference.
Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a bit better processing unit than Galaxy S8 Active, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s also has 4 GB more RAM. The Galaxy S8 Active features just a bit better display than Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, it also counts with a higher number of pixels per display inch and a higher resolution of 1440 x 2960.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s has a much better memory to install games and applications than Samsung Galaxy S8 Active, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 256 GB internal memory capacity. Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with better battery duration than Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, because it has 4000mAh of battery capacity against 3400mAh.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 Active counts with a camera that's just as good as the camera in Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, and although the Samsung Galaxy S8 Active has a larger aperture to capture better photography and video in low light environments, they both have the same video frame rate, the same resolution camera, a 0.39 inches back-facing camera sensor and the same (4K) video quality.
Although Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is a better device, it costs a lot more than Galaxy S8 Active, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Galaxy S8 Active. So if you need that extra features and specs, you can buy the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s, otherwise you can save some money and get the Galaxy S8 Active, letting go a couple features and specs.
