The Huawei Mate 8 is slightly better than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, getting a general score of 77.4 against 76.2. Huawei Mate 8 is a lighter phone than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, but they are equally thin. The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a bit sharper display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a just a little lower pixel density, it also counts with a quite better resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels and a little bigger screen.
The Huawei Mate 8 features a bit better processing unit than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have 4 GB of RAM, the Huawei Mate 8 also has more cpu cores (but slower). The Xiaomi Mi MIX has a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 8, and although they both have a back-facing camera with a 16 mega pixels and a same size camera aperture, the Xiaomi Mi MIX also has a lot better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality.
The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a very superior storage to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi MIX, and although they both have exactly the same internal storage, the Huawei Mate 8 also has an external SD slot that holds a maximum of 128 GB. Xiaomi Mi MIX has a little better battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 8, because it has a 4400mAh battery size instead of 4000mAh.
Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs more money than the Xiaomi Mi MIX, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi MIX. So if you want that extra features and specs, you can buy Huawei Mate 8, but if you don't you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi MIX, giving up a couple features and specs.
