Both of these devices include Android OS, but the LG V30S ThinQ has a newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Mi MIX has Android 6.0 Marshmallow. LG V30S ThinQ is a newer device, and it's also a bit thinner and much lighter than Xiaomi Mi MIX.
