Xperia XZ2 Premium has a global score of 82.2, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2's overall score of 76. Xperia XZ2 Premium is a newer phone than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it's notably heavier and notably thicker. Xperia XZ2 Premium counts with a much sharper screen than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because it has a lot greater screen pixel density, a much higher resolution of 2160 x 3840 and a bit bigger screen.
Xperia XZ2 Premium features a bigger storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has only 64 GB internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds a maximum of 400 GB. Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium features a little better processing power than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and although they both have 6 GB of RAM, the Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium also has 4 more CPU cores.
The Xperia XZ2 Premium shoots much better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a worse 19 MP resolution back-facing camera and a worse video definition, it also counts with a larger sensor which offers a better image and video quality and a bigger camera aperture to capture better images and videos in poorly lited environments.
Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a little longer battery life than Xperia XZ2 Premium, because it has a 15% larger battery size.
Although Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Note 2. So if you need that extra specs, you can buy Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium, otherwise you can save a couple dollars and buy the Xiaomi Mi Note 2, giving up some specifications.
