Huawei Mate 8 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, getting a general score of 77.4 against 75.3. Huawei Mate 8 is an older, a little thicker and somewhat heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Mi Note 3. The Huawei Mate 8 counts with a processing unit that's very similar to the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 one, and although the Huawei Mate 8 has 2 GB less RAM memory, they both have a Octa-Core processor.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features a little bit better display than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 also counts with a little bit greater screen density. The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 shoots a little bit better photos and videos than Huawei Mate 8, because although it has a back facing camera with a way worse 12 megapixels resolution, it also counts with a much higher 3840x2160 video quality and a larger aperture.

Although Huawei Mate 8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Mi Note 3. If you are trying to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Note 3, letting go a couple features and specs, but you'll get the most out of your money.
