The Huawei P40 is better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3, with a overall score of 86.4 against 75.3. Both phones in this comparison review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Huawei P40 has the previous 10 version while Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Huawei P40's body is much newer than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3's, although it's a little bit thicker and just a little bit heavier.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 counts with a little bit better looking screen than Huawei P40, although it has a little bit lower 1080 x 1920 resolution, a quite smaller screen and a bit less pixels per inch in the screen.
