Comparison review
The Samsung Galaxy M40 has an overall score of 85, which is better than the Xiaomi Mi Note 3's score of 75.3. Both devices in this comparison review use Android operating system, but Samsung Galaxy M40 has older 10 version while Xiaomi Mi Note 3 has Android 8.1 Oreo version. Even though Samsung Galaxy M40 is newer than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, it is a little bit thicker and a bit heavier.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 3 counts with a bit better display than Galaxy M40, although it has a little smaller screen, a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a little worse pixels density. The Galaxy M40 has a lot bigger storage capacity to install applications and games than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and although they both have exactly the same 128 GB internal memory capacity, the Galaxy M40 also has a slot for SD memory cards that supports a maximum of 512 GB.
Xiaomi Mi Note 3 features a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy M40. They have 6 GB of RAM and the same number of cores. Galaxy M40 takes much better videos and photos than Xiaomi Mi Note 3, and although they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same video frame rates, the Galaxy M40 also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels and a bigger diafragm aperture for better low light photos.
The Galaxy M40's battery life is very similar to the Xiaomi Mi Note 3 one.
