Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro's global score of 80.5. Both of these devices work with Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has 11 version while Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has Android 9.0 Pie version. Galaxy A42's design is newer, but just a little thicker and a little heavier than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro.
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a sharper screen than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way better resolution of 1080 x 2340 and a lot better number of pixels per screen inch. Galaxy A42's processor is very similar to the processing unit in Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, and although the Galaxy A42 has 2 GB lesser RAM memory, they both have 8 CPU cores.
Xiaomi Note 7 Pro features a bit better camera than Galaxy A42.
