Comparison review
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has a score of 80.5, which is slightly better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro's 75.7 global score. Although the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro is way older and a bit thicker than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, it's construction is still a bit lighter. These phones come with Android OS (operating system), but Xiaomi Note 7 Pro has the newer 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12, giving you a lot of extra features and improved performance.
The Xiaomi Note 7 Pro features a very superior hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro. Both of them have 6 GB of RAM memory and 8 processing cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a little bit better display than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, because although it has a little lower pixels count in each display inch, it also counts with a little bit bigger display and a little bit higher resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features as much memory for applications and games as the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, both have exactly the same 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has improved battery lifetime than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, because it has a 5000mAh battery capacity. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features just a bit better camera than Xiaomi Note 7 Pro, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low light images and video, and they both have the same 3840x2160 video quality and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also counts with a much bigger back camera sensor providing a way better image quality and a back facing camera with more mega pixels.
