Comparison review
Galaxy M40 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, getting a general score of 85 against 78.7. Both phones in this review include the same Android 10 OS (operating system), so both of them should count with very similar OS features. Galaxy M40's construction is thinner and lighter than the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, although it was released only 13 months before.
The Galaxy M40 features a little bit better looking display than Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, because although it has a little bit smaller display and a bit worse 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a little bit better pixels density. The Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro features a little better hardware performance than Galaxy M40, although it has lesser RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores.
Galaxy M40 has much more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro, and although they both have an external SD slot that allows up to 512 GB, the Galaxy M40 also has 64 GB more internal memory. The Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy M40, because it has 5000mAh of battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
The Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro captures a little bit better pictures and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is worse for taking images or video in low-light situations, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and the same 30 frames per second video frame rates, the Xiaomi Poco M2 Pro also counts with a lot more MP camera.
