Galaxy A42 has a global score of 87, which is a little bit better than the Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G's 80.8 score. Both devices in this review use the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so both should give all the same operating system features. The Galaxy A42 design is a little bit heavier but just a bit thinner than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, and they were released with only 6 months difference.
Samsung Galaxy A42 has a processing unit that is just as good as the Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G one, they have 8 cores and 4 GB of RAM. Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G counts with a sharper display than Samsung Galaxy A42, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a much greater screen pixels density and a lot better 1080 x 2400 resolution.
The Galaxy A42 takes clearer pictures and videos than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, and although they both have the same resolution back facing camera and a F1.8 camera aperture, the Galaxy A42 also has a much higher 3840x2160 video quality. The Galaxy A42 features a much better memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G, because it has a SD memory slot that supports up to 1000 GB and 128 GB internal memory.
Galaxy A42 counts with a battery duration that is just as good as the battery life in Xiaomi POCO M3 Pro 5G.
