Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 20 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Poco M3, having a 79.5 score against 78.2. The Huawei Mate 20 is an a lot older phone than the Xiaomi Poco M3, but Huawei was able to build it somewhat thinner and just a little bit lighter anyway. These phones work with Android OS, but the Huawei Mate 20 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Poco M3 has Android 10, so it provides a couple nice extra features.
Huawei Mate 20 features a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Poco M3. Both have a Octa-Core processor and a 4 GB RAM memory. Huawei Mate 20 has a little sharper screen than Xiaomi Poco M3, although it has a just a little worse pixels density and a little bit worse resolution of 1080 x 2244, they both have a display with the same size.
The Xiaomi Poco M3 has a quite bigger memory capacity for games and applications than Huawei Mate 20, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 512 GB. The Xiaomi Poco M3 counts with a very superior battery life than Huawei Mate 20, because it has a 50 percent greater battery size.
Xiaomi Poco M3 counts with a slightly better camera than Huawei Mate 20, and although they both have the same 30 frames per second video frame rate, a F1.8 diafragm aperture and the same 1920x1080 video resolution, the Xiaomi Poco M3 also has a larger camera sensor providing a higher image quality and a camera in the back with much more megapixels.
Although Huawei Mate 20 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Poco M3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Poco M3. So if you need that extra features, you can buy Huawei Mate 20, else you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Poco M3, giving up some specifications.
