Comparison review
Huawei P40 has a general score of 86.4, which is better than the Xiaomi Poco M3's 78.2 global score. Both phones in this review include the same Android 10 OS (Operating System). Huawei P40's construction is somewhat lighter and thinner than Xiaomi Poco M3, even though both were released with only a couple months difference.
The Huawei P40 features a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal resolution of 1080 x 2340, the Huawei P40 also counts with a bit greater display density. The Huawei P40 counts with just a little better performance than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have 8 cores, the Huawei P40 also has a higher amount of RAM.
Huawei P40 has a superior camera than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a smaller aperture which is not so good for capturing photographs or videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a back-facing camera with a better 50 mega-pixels resolution, a much better video definition and a way bigger camera sensor providing a much higher image quality.
The Xiaomi Poco M3 counts with a quite bigger memory for apps and games than Huawei P40, because although it has less internal memory capacity, it also counts with a SD memory slot that holds up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Poco M3 features a superior battery life than Huawei P40, because it has a 6000mAh battery capacity instead of 3800mAh.
The Huawei P40 costs a lot more than Xiaomi Poco M3, but it's still a good choice, as you can get a lot more for that extra money.
