Comparison review

The Galaxy Note8 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Poco M3, having a overall score of 83 against 78.2. Both devices in this comparison review have Android operating system, but the Galaxy Note8 has a more recent 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Poco M3 has Android 10. Although Galaxy Note8 is a lot older than Xiaomi Poco M3, it's design is just a little lighter and somewhat thinner.

The Galaxy Note8 has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a better pixels number in each inch in the screen. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a little bit better hardware performance than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have 8 cpu cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory.

The Xiaomi Poco M3 takes much clearer photos and videos than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because although it has a smaller aperture, and they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Poco M3 also counts with a camera in the back with a lot higher resolution and a way bigger camera sensor which provides a much higher image and video quality.

The Xiaomi Poco M3 counts with a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same internal memory capacity, the Xiaomi Poco M3 also has an external memory slot that allows a maximum of 512 GB. Xiaomi Poco M3 has a very superior battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 6000mAh battery size against 3300mAh.

Although Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it is way more expensive than the Xiaomi Poco M3, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Poco M3. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get Xiaomi Poco M3, giving up a few specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
