Sony Xperia 5 II has an overall score of 87.2, which is much better than Xiaomi Poco M3's general score of 78.2. The Sony Xperia 5 II is a thinner and somewhat lighter cellphone than the Xiaomi Poco M3, although both of them were released only a few months apart. Xperia 5 II has a bit more powerful processing unit than Xiaomi Poco M3, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 II also has a higher amount of RAM.

The Xperia 5 II features just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Poco M3, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a little bit greater pixels quantity in each inch in the display and a slightly higher 1080 x 2520 resolution. Xiaomi Poco M3 shoots a little bit better pictures and videos than Xperia 5 II, because although it has a smaller camera aperture which is worse for shooting photos and video in low light environments, a tinier camera sensor capturing less light and washed colors and lower 30 frames per second video frame rates, and they both have the same 1920x1080 video quality, the Xiaomi Poco M3 also counts with a camera with lot more mega pixels.

The Xperia 5 II features a lot bigger memory capacity for apps and games than Xiaomi Poco M3, because it has more internal memory and a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. The Xiaomi Poco M3 has a much better battery performance than Xperia 5 II, because it has 6000mAh of battery capacity against 4000mAh.

Although Sony Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Poco M3, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Poco M3. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy Sony Xperia 5 II, else you can save some dollars and buy the Xiaomi Poco M3, letting go some specs and features.
