Comparison review
The Galaxy A42 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Poco X2, getting a overall score of 87 against 79.3. Even though the Galaxy A42 and Xiaomi Poco X2 were released with only 9 months difference, the Galaxy A42 is a bit thinner and just a little lighter. These phones come with the same Android 11 OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't see any differences in that aspect.
Xiaomi Poco X2 features a better screen than Galaxy A42, because it has a quite bigger screen, more pixels per inch of screen and a lot higher 1080 x 2400 resolution.
