The Samsung Galaxy M40 is a bit better than the Xiaomi Poco X2, with an 85 score against 79.3. Samsung Galaxy M40's construction is somewhat lighter and thinner than Xiaomi Poco X2, although both were released with only a couple of months difference. Both phones in this comparison review use Android OS, but Samsung Galaxy M40 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Poco X2 has Android 11.
The Galaxy M40 has a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Poco X2, because although it has a bit smaller display and a bit lower 1080 x 2340 resolution, it also counts with a little more pixels per inch of display. Xiaomi Poco X2 has a bit better hardware performance than Samsung Galaxy M40. Both have 8 cpu cores and the same RAM amount.
The Galaxy M40 counts with a very superior storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Poco X2, because it has an external memory slot that holds up to 512 GB and more internal memory. Xiaomi Poco X2 captures much clearer photographs and videos than Galaxy M40, because although it has a smaller camera aperture, and they both have the same video resolution and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Poco X2 also counts with a camera in the back with much more megapixels and a way bigger back-facing camera sensor shooting lot better quality videos and pictures.
The Xiaomi Poco X2 features better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy M40, because it has a 4500mAh battery capacity instead of 3500mAh.
