Both phones in this review have Android OS (operating system), but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Poco X4 GT has Android 12 version. Huawei Mate 9 Pro's design is somewhat lighter and somewhat thinner than the Xiaomi Poco X4 GT, even though it was released many years before.
Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a much greater hardware performance than Xiaomi Poco X4 GT, although it has a lower amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a brighter screen than Xiaomi Poco X4 GT, because although it has a little bit smaller display, it also counts with a slightly better 1440 x 2560px resolution and a better pixels density.
The Xiaomi Poco X4 GT features a bit better camera than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because although it has a way tinier back-facing camera sensor, and they both have the same video frame rate and the same 3840x2160 video definition, the Xiaomi Poco X4 GT also counts with a back camera with a way higher 64 mega pixels resolution and a larger diafragm aperture.
