The Huawei Mate 9 Pro is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, with a overall score of 78.7 against 71.7. The Huawei Mate 9 Pro body is thinner but just a little bit heavier than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and both were released with only 2 months difference. Both of these phones include Android OS, but Huawei Mate 9 Pro has the newer 8.0 Oreo version while Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has Android 6.0 Marshmallow, providing you a couple additional features and a performance increase.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a bit better processing power than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have a Octa-Core processor, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also has a larger amount of RAM memory. Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a slightly better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because it has a higher resolution of 1440 x 2560, a little bigger screen and a little bit higher quantity of pixels in each inch in the screen.
The Huawei Mate 9 Pro has a little bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has a back facing camera with lesser mega pixels, and they both have a F2.2 aperture, the Huawei Mate 9 Pro also counts with a way better video definition. Huawei Mate 9 Pro features a much greater storage for apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because although it has no slot for an SD memory card, it also counts with 128 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime counts with a bit longer battery lifetime than Huawei Mate 9 Pro, because it has a 4100mAh battery capacity.
Although Huawei Mate 9 Pro is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, letting go a couple features, but you will get the most with your budget.
