Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a little bit better than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, with a 76.6 score against 71.7. These phones use Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's body has the same thickness than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, but it's a lot heavier.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a lot smaller screen and a little worse 1080 x 1920px resolution, it also counts with a little greater pixels density. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a much greater memory to install applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that allows up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has 64 GB internal storage.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a processor that's just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime one, they have a 3 GB RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has improved battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, because it has 5020mAh of battery capacity against 4100mAh. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a very superior camera than Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and although they both have the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rates, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a bigger camera aperture and a lot better resolution back camera.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more money than the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. So if you want that extra specs and features, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, otherwise you can save some dollars and get the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime, giving up some specifications.
