Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has a global score of 71.7, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi 5's general score of 67.2. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is an older and somewhat thicker cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi 5, but Xiaomi made it a little bit lighter anyway. Both of these devices include Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has an older 6.0 Marshmallow version while Xiaomi Redmi 5 has Android 7.1 Nougat.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime counts with a brighter display than Xiaomi Redmi 5, because although it has a little smaller display, it also counts with a way higher resolution of 1080 x 1920 and a lot higher pixel number per screen inch. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime's storage to store more games and applications is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi 5 one, both have the same 32 GB internal memory capacity and a SD card slot that supports up to 128 GB.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi 5. Both have the same number of cores and 3 GB of RAM. Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime have very similar cameras, and although the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime has a higher resolution camera, they both have the same aperture, the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video resolution and the same 30 fps video frame rate.
Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime counts with better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi 5, because it has 4100mAh of battery capacity against 3300mAh.
Despite of being the best phone in our current comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime is also a bit cheaper.
