Galaxy A42 has a general score of 87, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi 9T's 78.2 score. Both phones in this review have Android OS, but Galaxy A42 has a newer 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi 9T has Android 10 version, providing you some extra features. Galaxy A42 is a thinner and a bit lighter device than the Xiaomi Redmi 9T, even when both were released with only 2 months difference.
The Galaxy A42 features a bit superior CPU than Xiaomi Redmi 9T. Both have 4 GB of RAM memory and the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a much better display than Galaxy A42, because although it has a bit smaller screen, it also counts with a way higher 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution and more pixels per inch of display.
The Galaxy A42 counts with much more storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because it has an external memory card slot that admits up to 1000 GB and 64 GB more internal storage.
