The Galaxy Note8 has an overall score of 83, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi 9T's 78.2 score. Both of these phones use Android OS, but Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi 9T has Android 10 version. The Galaxy Note8 is an notably older cellphone than the Xiaomi Redmi 9T, but Samsung was able to build it thinner and just a little lighter.

Samsung Galaxy Note8 has a bit more powerful CPU than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 also has a greater amount of RAM memory. The Galaxy Note8 counts with a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Redmi 9T, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with a better 1440 x 2960 resolution and a better pixels amount per inch of display.

Xiaomi Redmi 9T shoots better photographs and videos than Galaxy Note8, because although it has a tinier aperture which is worse for low light captures, and they both have the same video definition and the same video frame rate, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T also counts with a much bigger sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a lot more mega-pixels back camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 9T features just a bit bigger memory for games and applications than Samsung Galaxy Note8, and although they both have the same internal memory, the Xiaomi Redmi 9T also has an external memory card slot that supports up to 512 GB. Xiaomi Redmi 9T has a much longer battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy Note8, because it has a 6000mAh battery size instead of 3300mAh.
