Both phones in this review have the same Android 11 OS (operating system), so you shouldn't see any differences in that aspect. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro's construction is newer than Galaxy A40's, but it's notably heavier and just a little bit thicker.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro counts with a little bit better looking screen than Samsung Galaxy A40, because although it has a quite worse count of pixels per inch of screen, it also counts with a little bigger display and a little bit higher 1080 x 2400px resolution. Samsung Galaxy A40's storage capacity for apps and games is just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro's one, they have the same 64 GB internal storage and a SD extension slot that allows up to 512 GB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro has a bit better hardware performance than Galaxy A40, and although they both have 8 CPU cores, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro also has more RAM.
