Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, getting a 76.6 score against 73.9. Both devices in this review include Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the older 10 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has Android 11. Even being the best device in our current comparison, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a just a little thicker and heavier device than Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has a better screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a quite smaller screen, it also counts with more pixels per inch of screen and a higher 2080 x 2400px resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S has a way bigger memory for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal storage, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S also has an external memory card slot that holds a maximum of 1 TB.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features a much greater hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, although it has 1 GB less RAM memory, they both have the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's battery life is just as good as the battery duration in Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a 0% bigger battery size.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 shoots slightly better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 11S, because although it has a way lower 48 megapixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a lot bigger camera sensor and a bigger aperture to capture better low light images and video.
