Comparison review
Xperia 5 III has an overall score of 90.5, which is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro's global score of 75.7. Xperia 5 III's design is just a little lighter than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, although it's a little thicker and was released just a little further than a year before. Both devices in this review have Android OS (Operating System), but Xperia 5 III has an older 11 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12 version.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features a little more vivid display than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a little bit lower pixel amount per inch of screen and a quite lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px, it also counts with a little bit larger screen. Sony Xperia 5 III has a very superior storage to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, because it has an external memory card slot that holds up to 1 TB and more internal memory.
The Xperia 5 III has a much faster processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, and although they both have the same number of cores, the Xperia 5 III also has a higher amount of RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro shoots a little bit better videos and photos than Xperia 5 III, because although it has a smaller diafragm aperture which is not favorable for low light captures and worse video frame rate, and they both have the same 3840x2160 (4K) video definition, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro also counts with a larger back-facing camera sensor taking more light and vivid colors and a back camera with a lot better 50 MP resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro features just a bit longer battery duration than Xperia 5 III, because it has a 5000mAh battery size.
