The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro is a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, getting a general score of 82.9 against 75.7. Both phones in this review work with Android OS (operating system), but the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has a newer 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has Android 12, offering lots of additional features and performance improvements. Although it's the best phone in this comparison review, we must highlight that it's also notably older, thicker and just a little bit heavier.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro has a little bit better display than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, because although it has a just a bit lower display density, it also counts with a lot brighter display, a bit bigger screen and a little higher 1080 x 2400 resolution. The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro counts with a way better hardware performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro also has a higher amount of RAM memory.
The Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has as much storage to install games and applications as Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, both of them have equal 128 GB internal storage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro counts with improved battery performance than Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, because it has a 25 percent bigger battery capacity.
Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro has a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro, because although it has a way tinier back camera sensor shooting much lower quality images and videos, a lower 3840x2160 video quality and a lower 48 mega-pixels resolution back camera, it also counts with a larger aperture.
