Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has a general score of 83.1, which is a little bit better than the Asus ROG Phone 8's score of 79.5. Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G's body is incredibly lighter and thinner than Asus ROG Phone 8, although both were released with only a couple months difference. Both phones we compare here use Android OS, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G has an older 13 version and Asus ROG Phone 8 has Android 14 version.
Asus ROG Phone 8 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G both feature similar screens, because although the Asus ROG Phone 8 has a bit lower resolution of 1080 x 2400px and a just a little less pixels per inch in the screen, it also counts with a brighter display and a bit larger screen. Asus ROG Phone 8's processing unit is just as good as the CPU in Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, and although the Asus ROG Phone 8 has a higher amount of RAM, they both have 8 cores.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G counts with a way bigger memory capacity for applications, games, photos and videos than Asus ROG Phone 8, and although they both have equal internal storage capacity, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G also has a SD extension slot that supports a maximum of 1 TB. Asus ROG Phone 8 takes a little bit better videos and photos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, although it has a lot less MP resolution back camera, a tinier back-facing camera sensor offering a worse image quality and a tinier camera aperture which is not recommended for low light captures.
The Asus ROG Phone 8 has a little better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G, because it has an 8 percent larger battery size.
