Samsung Galaxy S III is slightly better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, getting a general score of 70 against 65.6. Despite of the fact Samsung Galaxy S III is a lot older and a little thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, it's construction is still somewhat lighter. These phones include Android OS (operating system), but the Samsung Galaxy S III has the previous 4.3 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has Android 5.0.
Galaxy S III and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 both count with extremely similar CPUs, and although the Galaxy S III has a graphics processor and more cpu cores (but slower), they both have 2 GB of RAM. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 features a little more vivid screen than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has more pixels per inch of display, a quite bigger display and a way higher 1920 x 1080px resolution.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 has just a bit better camera than Samsung Galaxy S III, and although they both have the same video frame rates and the same (Full HD) video resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 also has a bigger camera aperture to capture better low light captures and video and a much more mega pixels camera in the back.
Galaxy S III has a bit more memory capacity to store more games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, although it has only 16 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 features a way better battery lifetime than Samsung Galaxy S III, because it has a 3060mAh battery capacity against 2100mAh.
Even being the best phone between the ones we are comparing, the Galaxy S III is also very cheap compared to the other ones.
