Comparison review
The Huawei Mate X has a general score of 89.4, which is a lot better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's 74.1 score. These phones include Android OS (Operating System), but the Huawei Mate X has 9.0 Pie version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat, giving you some extra features. Huawei Mate X's design is way newer than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's, but it is much thicker and a lot heavier.
Huawei Mate X features a little better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have a Octa-Core processing unit, the Huawei Mate X also has more RAM. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 counts with a bit better display than Huawei Mate X, although it has a way smaller screen, a little lower screen pixel density and a lot lower 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution.
Huawei Mate X has much more storage to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has no external memory slot, it also counts with 512 GB internal storage capacity. Huawei Mate X features just a bit better battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a 10 percent more battery size.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Huawei Mate X have really similar cameras, although the Huawei Mate X also has a back-facing camera with lot more megapixels and a larger aperture to take better photos and video in low-light situations.
Although Huawei Mate X is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good price and quality relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most out of your money.
