Samsung Galaxy Note8 is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, getting a overall score of 83 against 74.1. Both phones in our current comparison work with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy Note8 has 9.0 Pie version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat version, providing the user a couple additional features and better performance. Despite being the best cellphone we are comparing here, we must tell that it is also a little bit thicker and heavier.

The Galaxy Note8 features a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have 8 cores, the Galaxy Note8 also has a higher amount of RAM memory. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 has just a bit better looking display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a way higher 1440 x 2960 resolution, a bit bigger display and a higher pixel number per inch of display.

The Galaxy Note8 has just a bit bigger storage capacity for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have equal internal memory capacity, the Galaxy Note8 also has a slot for an SD memory card that allows up to 256 GB. Galaxy Note8 takes a bit better pictures and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lesser MP resolution back camera, it also counts with a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a bigger aperture to take better low-light photos and videos.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 counts with improved battery performance than Galaxy Note8, because it has 4100mAh of battery capacity.

Although Samsung Galaxy Note8 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you are trying to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and give up a few specs and features, but you will get the most with your money.
