Comparison review
The Galaxy S8 has a global score of 81.7, which is much better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's 74.1 general score. The Galaxy S8 construction is just a little bit thinner and just a bit lighter than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, although both were released with only a couple months difference. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a bit sharper display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a quite bigger screen, more pixels per inch of display and a lot higher 1440 x 2960 resolution.
Samsung Galaxy S8 features slightly more memory to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Samsung Galaxy S8 also has a SD memory slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. The Samsung Galaxy S8 has a little bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. They have a 4 GB RAM and the same number of cores.
Galaxy S8 counts with a bit better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lower resolution back facing camera, it also counts with a bigger aperture to capture better photography in poorly lited environments and a much better (4K) video resolution. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a much longer battery lifetime than Galaxy S8, because it has a 4100mAh battery size.
Galaxy S8 is not only the best devices in our comparison, but it's also a bit cheaper.
