The Xperia 5 II design is a lot newer, a bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has more RAM. The Sony Xperia 5 II takes better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lower resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better low light photography and a much better (4K) video quality.

So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, resigning some features and specs.
