Xperia 5 II has a general score of 87.2, which is better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's 74.1 global score. The Xperia 5 II design is a lot newer, a bit lighter and a little bit thinner than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Xperia 5 II and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 have quite similar displays, although the Xperia 5 II also has a little bit better display pixels density, a slightly better resolution of 1080 x 2520px and a bit larger display.

The Sony Xperia 5 II has a bit more powerful processor than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have 8 cores, the Sony Xperia 5 II also has more RAM. The Sony Xperia 5 II takes better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lower resolution back-facing camera, it also counts with a bigger camera aperture to take better low light photography and a much better (4K) video quality.

The Sony Xperia 5 II features a lot bigger storage capacity for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has 64 GB more internal memory and a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 1000 GB. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features just a bit better battery lifetime than Sony Xperia 5 II, because it has a 4100mAh battery capacity instead of 4000mAh.

Although Xperia 5 II is a better device, it is a lot more expensive than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. So if you want that extra features, you can buy the Xperia 5 II, but if you don't you can save some money and buy the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, resigning some features and specs.
