Comparison review
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, having a 77.5 score against 74.1. Xiaomi Mi Max 2's body is much heavier but a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and both were released only 4 months apart. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also counts with a little greater display density.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 both have similar processors, both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with a slightly better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because although it has a lesser mega pixels back facing camera and a tinier diafragm aperture which is not recommended for taking pictures or videos in poorly lited environments, it also counts with a lot higher video definition.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has much more memory for applications and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have an external SD slot that admits up to 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has more internal storage capacity. The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 counts with better battery lifetime than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a 29% more battery capacity.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
