Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, having a 77.5 score against 74.1. Xiaomi Mi Max 2's body is much heavier but a bit thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and both were released only 4 months apart. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a slightly better screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have the same resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 also counts with a little greater display density.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and Xiaomi Mi Max 2 both have similar processors, both have the same RAM memory amount and the same number of cores. Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it is way more expensive than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you prefer to save some dollars, you can get Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, letting go a couple features and specs, but you will get the most out of your budget.
