Comparison review
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a little bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, having a 76.6 score against 74.1. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's body is newer than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4's, but it's just a little thicker and heavier. Both phones in this comparison review come with Android OS (Operating System), but Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has the older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat version.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 counts with a processor that is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 one, and although the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a lower amount of RAM, they both have 8 processing cores. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 features a little more vivid screen than Xiaomi Redmi Note 9, because although it has a bit smaller display and a little bit lower resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels, it also counts with a quite greater pixel count in each inch in the display.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 9's storage capacity for applications, games, photos and videos is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 one, both of them have a slot for an external memory card that supports a maximum of 128 GB and exactly the same 64 GB internal memory capacity. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 features greater battery performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, because it has a 5020mAh battery size instead of 4100mAh.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 has a much better camera than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and although they both have the same 30 fps video frame rates and the same 1920x1080 (Full HD) video quality, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 also has a lot more mega-pixels back facing camera and a larger aperture for better low light images.
Although Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 is a better device, it costs a lot more than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. If you prefer to save some money, you can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 4, giving up a few features and specifications, but you will get the most with your budget.
