Both of these phones use Android operating system, but the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S has 11 version while Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 has Android 7.0 Nougat. Xiaomi Redmi Note 9S's design is extremely newer, but way heavier and a bit thicker than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4.
