The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has an overall score of 76.1, which is a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X's 71.8 global score. Both of these devices come with Android operating system, but the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has 7.0 Nougat version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has Android 6.0 Marshmallow version, so it counts with a couple additional features and a performance increase. Even though Samsung Galaxy J7 Max and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X were only released 4 months apart, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max body is just a little heavier but also a bit thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Max features just a bit better performance than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and although they both have a Octa-Core CPU, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max also has a larger amount of RAM memory. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X and the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max have incredibly similar displays, because although the Samsung Galaxy J7 Max has a bit worse pixel density, and they both have the same exact resolution of 1080 x 1920, it also counts with a little larger display.

The Galaxy J7 Max's camera is just as good as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X's camera, and although the Galaxy J7 Max has a bigger aperture for better images and video in low light situations, they both have the same (Full HD) video resolution, a back facing camera with a 13 mega-pixels and the same video frame rate.

The Galaxy J7 Max has a slightly bigger storage capacity to install games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and although they both have exactly the same 32 GB internal storage capacity, the Galaxy J7 Max also has a SD extension slot that allows a maximum of 256 GB. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X features longer battery lifetime than Galaxy J7 Max, because it has a 4100mAh battery capacity.
