Comparison review
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has a global score of 77.5, which is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X's global score of 71.8. Even though Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X were released with only a few months difference, Xiaomi Mi Max 2's design is incredibly heavier but just a little thinner than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X has a bit more vivid screen than Xiaomi Mi Max 2, because although it has a little bit smaller screen, and they both have an equal 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch of display. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 features a much better storage capacity to store more apps and games than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and although they both have a slot for external memory cards that holds a maximum of 128 GB, the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 also has 128 GB internal memory capacity.
Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X have incredibly similar processors, and although the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has more RAM, they both have the same number of cores. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has improved battery duration than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, because it has a 5300mAh battery size. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 shoots a bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, because although it has a tinier aperture which is not favorable for capturing photos or video in poorly lited situations and a less mega-pixels back-facing camera, it also counts with a way better 3840x2160 (4K) video definition.
Although Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and it doesn't have such a good relation between it's price and quality as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and give up some specs and features, but you'll get the most with your money.
