Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a global score of 76, which is just a bit better than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X's overall score of 71.8. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 body is a little thinner but just a little heavier than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and they were released with only 4 months difference. These phones include the same Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS (Operating System), so you shouldn't perceive any difference regarding that.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X features a little more vivid display than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, because although it has a little smaller screen, and they both have the same exact 1080 x 1920 resolution, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X also counts with a little bit more pixels per inch in the screen. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has a way bigger storage for games and applications than Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, because although it has no slot for SD memory cards, it also counts with more internal storage capacity.
The Xiaomi Mi Note 2's processing unit is just as good as the processor in Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, because although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has 4 less cpu cores , it also counts with 3 GB more RAM memory. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2's battery life is just as good as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X one, although the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 has 4070mAh of battery capacity against 4100mAh.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X takes clearer photographs and videos than Xiaomi Mi Note 2, although it has a much lower (Full HD) video quality and a lot worse resolution camera, they both have a same size diafragm aperture.
Although Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is a better device, it costs a lot more than the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, and it doesn't have such a good quality/price relation as Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X. So if you need that extra specs and features, you can buy Xiaomi Mi Note 2, else you can save some money and get the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X, resigning some features and specifications.
