Comparison review
The Huawei Mate 10 is just a bit better than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, getting a 78.9 score against 75.8. Huawei Mate 10 is a a little bit heavier cellphone than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, but both of them are 0.32inches thick. These phones come with Android operating system, but Huawei Mate 10 has an older 10 version and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro has Android 8.0 Oreo.
Huawei Mate 10 features a more vivid display than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, because although it has a quite smaller display, it also counts with a bit better amount of pixels in each inch in the display and a better 1440 x 2560 resolution. Huawei Mate 10 counts with a bit superior processing unit than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, although it has a smaller amount of RAM, they both have the same number of cores.
Huawei Mate 10 has a slightly bigger storage capacity to install applications and games or saving photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have equal 64 GB internal memory, the Huawei Mate 10 also has a SD memory card expansion slot that supports a maximum of 256 GB. Huawei Mate 10's battery duration is very similar to the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro one.
Huawei Mate 10 captures a little bit better photos and videos than Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro, and although they both have a same resolution back facing camera, the Huawei Mate 10 also has a much better 3840x2160 (4K) video quality and a way larger diafragm aperture for better low-light images.
